How to sponsor your relatives in New Zealand

The Sibling and Adult Child Policy is sketched to speed up the entry of siblings and adult children of New Zealand inhabitants, so that they might live with their relations jointly in the NZ.

Undertakings of sponsors:
1) The sponsor has to make sure that the relatives get satisfactory accommodation in New Zealand. Additionally, it is a necessity to give accommodation and financial support during the first two years.
2) Pay back the Crown any cost due to the Crown, resulting from the failure to meet the obligations.

Sponsor must be:

1) Minimum of 17 years or above of age
2) Must be residing in New Zealand. He should be a New Zealand citizen or has a Residence Permit (for at least 3 years before the date of you apply)
3) It is compulsory that the sponsor has spent a total of a minimum of 184 days in each of the mentioned three years in New Zealand.

Applicants may be granted Residence if they have:
1) A sponsor who is a NZ citizen and holds a relation with the candidate as a Parent, brother or sister.
2) No other relation or parent residing in the same country in which the applicants are living.

An offer of employment from an employer in a New Zealand firm:
a) The offer must be for continuing and permanent employment with a single employer.
b) The service must be Full-Time and attired with full registration.
c) The recommendation letter must be authentic and up to date at the time of the assessment the application.
d) It have to be for a position that is paid by wages.
